After the war, an era of cooperation with Allgaier Maschinenbau GmbH began, using the already extensive design experience that Ferdinand Porsche had gained over many years. 

The Porsche Standard AP tractor in the 218 design is the successor to the AP models 18 and 22. The main difference between the Porsche Standard AP and the previous models was the newly developed two-cylinder engine. Also new is an oil-hydraulic clutch. The main difference to the previous models in the Porsche Traktor Standard AP was the turbo coupling. Special equipment with 6 or 7 gears.

As an option the Porsche Standard AP Fritzmeier soft top. The same applied to the purchase of rear lights, a mower deck and a power lift. A spring-loaded front axle and a front wheel fender plus fender seat were also available.
